La cuisine de billy

Very nice place with perfect view at the amphitheater. The food is very good with fair prices. The personnel are extremely friendly and speak English with tourists. The waiter brought us garlic flowers from the garden to try and gave us each an extra drink on the house. Most of the vegetables are grown in their own garden, of which you can see pictures in the room. All in all a really nice visit, we are definitely coming back if we visit Arles again!

La cuisine de Billy in Arles deserves more than a five star review. My dad and I arrived quite late on the evening and had a rough day. The warm welcome we received from the staff made everything alright. I only speak a little bit of French but the language barrier was no problem. They had excellent vegetarian options (starers, main course and dessert) and I wish I could try them all. The vegetarian and gluten free meals are displayed clearly on the menu which is very nice. If you are in Arles you must visit this restaurant. Ask for the lemon pie as dessert and I assure you you won’t be disappointed. If the staff reads this review I want to thank them again for the wonderful dinner and experience. If i am near Arles I would surely visit La cuisine de Billy again.

This was a horrible experience. The starters (salmon tartar and burrata) were ok, but then it went downhill. We ordered steaks that were universally dry and extremely overcooked, beef stew that was not even stew, and tagliatelle that seemed like it had been sitting on the plate for 30 minutes. The apricot crumble was truly inedible. It tasted bad and was cold on the bottom. As for service, the food came very slowly and was taken very slowly, with too much time in between. The atmosphere was bad. Despite the beautiful view, the interior was way, way to hot, and the music started playing ads halfway through the meal. I hope that something went horribly wrong in the kitchen, but I doubt it. Do not eat here. For the same price, get a truly excellent fine dining experience at la boheme. That said, the wine was good.
